Welcome to my blog, Catherine Lily. Here I will share a lot of me...and hopefully, we will become good acquaintances if not friends. My passion is creating beautiful jewelry which generate positive energy for the wearer. My inspiration comes from all over the place, as you will discover, but it began with my own health. I suffer from Fibromyalgia. This is a chronic disease that is not very well know. Basically, pain and severe fatigue are my housemates. They go everywhere with me, and never let me completely be free of them. But I try. I try A LOT. And I even make progress in small ways.
I wear the jewelry I create as many of the semi-precious gemstones have healing and restorative qualities that help my complaints. I try to eat well and organically. I am not perfect at this, mainly due to extreme exhaustion and the lack of will to actually cook anything. I work out healthy shortcuts and try to avoid eating things that will cause me extra pain or fatigue...I'm not always successful, but I try!
I love to dance and run...but a hip injury slowed me down and the weight piled on. Nonetheless, I strive to find ways to keep my exercise schedule as productive as I can, even if it just means a walk with the dogs (who you will meet very soon).
So you're probably thinking I'm a complete mess! Yep, but I stay happy and I keep going with a full time job and two amazing boys, along with a hubby who understands my illness. I'm going to share my triumphs and failures as I navigate my path with Fibro, family and a full time job, along with a determination to make my little jewelry empire grow.
Don't worry, not everything on this blog will be about Fibro. Most of it will be about things I love, beautiful moments and discoveries, and great ideas I've found and want to share with you. If I help a few Spoonies out there along the way, then I'll be a happy girl!
